Mason Some Noise is George Mason’s premier co-ed a cappella group! We perform mainly pop songs but have dabbled in other genres of music. Founded in 2014, MSN performs at events on campus and in the DC area. In 2018, we became the first a cappella group in Mason history to compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) competition where we delivered a strong debut performance and won the award for Outstanding Arrangement. We plan to aim even higher and advance further in the competition this year! We hold auditions every semester, so if you love to sing, beatbox, or arrange, we hope you join our family!
Our group is exemplary of one of GMU’s best features: its diversity. We are a group of many different races, ethnicities, ages, majors, and personalities that unites in our love of music and friendship. We consistently raise the bar of excellence in our collegiate a cappella community and rehearse with this goal in mind. We are proud of what we do, we love what we do, and we want all of our supporters to love it too.
Mason Some Noise holds several shows on- and (increasingly) off-campus every semester. Check our calendar to stay tuned with our upcoming events!
From everyone at Mason Some Noise: Thank you for your support!
